Certified Pilates Instructors


Tara Gregorio

Tara Gregorio, Owner, and Founder of Tara Gregorio Pilates & Wellness is a seasoned veteran with 20 years experience in the health and fitness industry. A STOTT PILATES® Lead Instructor Trainer, Tara has led thousands of teachers- in-training through the certification process. Tara’s knowledge of Pilates, movement, and health is both profound and varied. In addition to teaching instructor level, equipment-based classes, she teaches workshops on topics ranging from anatomy and special populations to athletic conditioning and injury.

Tara’s clientele seeks her out for her expertise in pre- and post-natal fitness, breast cancer recovery, osteoporosis, scoliosis, and injury rehabilitation. Tara has a B.S. in Fitness Management and is STOTT PILATES®, ACE, Pink Ribbon, and 200-hr Living Yoga Certified. She also has completed various courses for post-natal rehabilitation. 

A holistic health practitioner, Tara is also an herbalist and studying homeopath with over eight years experience and training. Tara creates personalized teas and tinctures for women’s health, which she features in her product line, TG Herbals. TG Herbals, founded in 2014, is a diverse and growing range of customized blends which will decrease our use of antibiotics and medications. A mother of active, four-year-old twins, Tara also specializes in remedies for teething, colic, diaper rash, mastitis, insomnia, pelvic floor incontinence, and diastasis recti. Currently, she is studying with Dr. Aviva Romm to become a women’s health specialist. 

 Tara makes her home in Cold Spring, New York. She accepts clients in her studio for fitness, injury rehabilitation, and herbal consultations.  

Cindy Merryman

I’m so excited to be part of Tara’s team. Learning to be the best I can be both mentally and physically is a continual journey. I found Tara’s studio three years ago after injuring myself at a gym, an all too common occurrence. I was impressed with her knowledgeable health consultations and the ever-evolving classes which helped heal my injuries and enhanced my overall well being. I no longer ache, have pain, digestive issues and my overall quality of life have improved. I’m here to assist Tara in the busy work of running a studio so she can concentrate on helping her clients achieve their health goals. See you in the studio!

Breana Whitecross

Breana grew up learning and teaching dance at her mother’s dance studio in Smithfield, Rhode Island. She has been teaching dance for over 15 years and for her undergrad she wanted to continue the study of movement and enhance her knowledge about health and fitness. She attended the University of Rhode Island and received her B.S in Kinesiology.

Breana recently completed her M.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. She started her career in corporate fitness and has built that career over six years and is now the Assistant Manager at a corporate fitness center for Plus One. She is a certified personal trainer through ACE and NASM as well as an AFAA certified group exercise instructor with experience teaching a variety of strength, cardio, dance, and barre classes.  

After moving to Connecticut in 2015, Breana discovered Pilates and fell in love instantly with the benefits it had on her mind/body connection as well as posture and flexibility.  In 2016, Breana decided to pursue her Pilates certification through STOTT and she has completed Level 1 trainings in Mat, Reformer, Cadillac, Stability Chair, and Barrels. She is currently practicing and studying to certify this year.


Kelly House

In addition to earning a degree in Experimental Theatre from NYU many years ago, KELLY HOUSE has enjoyed a 25-year career as a self-employed calligrapher.  Her colorful clients have included many Manhattan socialites, cultural institutions, notable fashion designers and prestigious financial institutions.

Having moved to Cold Spring in ’08 she soon realized that the economy would no longer sustain her calligraphic career and has chosen to pursue a mid-life ‘enhancement’.  Always one to incorporate movement and exercise into her life, she was encouraged to take up Pilates by her surgeon when recovering from lumbar surgery sixteen years ago and has never stopped.  Her other pleasures are teaching Zumba and running in the beautiful hills of the village.  Whatever the activity – she finds it immensely gratifying to share and inspire others to join her in finding, re-gaining, and maintaining fitness in a way that is fun and practical.

Kelly has completed: STOTT PILATES Mat, Reformer, TOTAL BARRE & ISP Training.
